01The short version
Turbo Cleaner does not collect your personal data. Scanning, finding duplicates, compressing, and deleting all happen locally on your device. We have no servers that receive your photos, no account system, and no advertising trackers. What's on your phone stays on your phone.
The longer text below explains the details, the limited technical information involved in running any iOS app, and your rights. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@cleanor.app and we'll explain.
02Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to the Turbo Cleaner iOS application ("the App", "we", "us") published by Cleanor, and to this website at turbocleaner.app. It covers everyone who downloads or uses the App. By using Turbo Cleaner, you agree to the practices described here.
03What we don't collect
To be unambiguous, Turbo Cleaner does not collect, transmit, store on our servers, or sell any of the following:
- Your photos, videos, or their contents
- Your contacts, messages, or files
- Your name, email, phone number, or account credentials (there is no account)
- Your precise location
- Browsing history or cross-app advertising identifiers
- Any data that could personally identify you
We do not build advertising profiles, and we never sell or share data with data brokers — because we don't have your data to begin with.
04On-device processing
When you run a scan, the App reads your photo library locally to identify duplicates, similar shots, large videos, and reclaimable space. This analysis is performed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks.
- Photo content is never uploaded to us or any third party.
- Thumbnails, hashes, and analysis results are kept in the App's local storage and are removed when you delete the App.
- When you choose to delete or compress items, the action is carried out through Apple's PhotoKit on your device. We never see what you remove.
Deletions are permanent. Items you remove go to your iOS "Recently Deleted" album per Apple's normal behavior, then are erased. We recommend keeping a backup (e.g. iCloud Photos) before large cleanups.
05Permissions we request
Turbo Cleaner only asks for what it needs to do its job:
Photo Library access
Required to scan and clean your library. You can grant full access or limited access, and you can change or revoke this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Turbo Cleaner. Without it, the core cleaning features cannot function.
Notifications (optional)
If you allow them, we may send occasional local reminders (for example, "your storage is filling up"). These are generated on-device and contain no personal data. Decline or disable them at any time without losing functionality.
06Diagnostics & analytics
To keep the App stable, we may use privacy-preserving diagnostics:
- Apple-provided analytics & crash reports: If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in your iOS settings, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash and usage statistics with us. This data is controlled by Apple and contains no photo content or identifying information.
- App Store metrics: Apple reports anonymized download and engagement numbers to us through App Store Connect.
We do not embed third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs. You can opt out of Apple's developer analytics in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
07Purchases & subscriptions
Turbo Cleaner may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions ("Pro"). All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your credit card number or billing details — Apple handles the transaction and shares only anonymized purchase confirmations needed to unlock features. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
08Data security
Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by iOS's built-in security, including device encryption and (where you enable it) Face ID / Touch ID. The optional Secret Vault feature stores items in the App's protected, locked storage. We encourage you to use a device passcode and biometric lock for maximum protection.
09Children's privacy
Turbo Cleaner is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal data from anyone, this risk is minimal. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
10Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Privacy laws such as the EU GDPR and California's CCPA grant you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. Because Turbo Cleaner does not collect or hold personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to retrieve, sell, or delete on your behalf — all your data already lives solely on your device and is fully under your control. To erase everything the App has touched, simply delete the App. If you have questions about your rights, email hello@cleanor.app.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves or as laws change. When we make material changes, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
